As a people manager, you will lead our data cell and ensure the happiness, growth, and development of your team members. At asqin, there are currently 40 professionals working in three teams: Finance & BI, Data & Analytics, and Business Consultancy. Interim & Advies has the ambition to serve new sectors and clients, which is why we aim to grow to 150 colleagues in the coming years. An important first step in this process is a repositioning and rebranding effort, during which a completely new consultancy brand will be developed. The launch of the new brand is expected in October, so you can help establish this brand in the market right away!
What’s the deal?
We believe in focusing on an area of expertise. That’s why we are looking for an experienced Data Scientist who wants to build the Data & Analytics proposition as a senior or lead and establish a team of Data Consultants. You will also contribute to one of our strategic goals, namely developing and rolling out data services and the market approach strategy for these services.
This is a key position in our organization, which comes with many wonderful responsibilities. We see a role for you in the following areas:
- As a senior data consultant, you successfully complete assignments for clients.
- You collaborate with management to form a vision for the data & analytics services to be delivered and developed.
- You are (together with recruitment) responsible for hiring and developing the team of data & analytics consultants.
- You are (together with account management) responsible for mapping out client needs.
- You are proficient in the Dutch language, both spoken and written, allowing you to communicate effectively with clients who use Dutch as their primary language.
- You hold a master’s degree in Data Science or a related field.
- You are always up to date with the latest developments, tools, and techniques in Data & Analytics.
- You have several years of experience as a senior or lead of a team of data specialists.
- It is a plus if you have experience with interim, secondment, or consultancy work.
At asqin, you work together with 40 experienced professionals within finance, data and business consultancy. The consultants are known for their knowledge and their own view of the profession and the sector. The consultants are given all the space to work as they want and work together to build a growing organization according to the formula: insights, improve and in control. To enable growth to 100 consultants and even more dream assignments, our interim & consultancy branch will enter the market with its own name in October 2024. So there is plenty of room for you to contribute to this!
We offer a contract ranging from 32 to 40 hours per week. Of course, this comes with a comprehensive benefits package. You can expect an attractive salary, a good bonus scheme, and €1.500 for your own home workspace, as well as a company car or mobility allowance, a laptop, and a mobile phone. As a reference, most senior data specialists earn between €5.500 and €8.500 gross per month. The starting salary will be determined in consultation, and we do not have a salary cap.
This is a position where you can develop yourself in depth, height, and breadth. We do this with a team of experienced colleagues, on-the-job training, and a tailored training program. This ensures your growth in the field, the sector, and the many skills you need as a senior/lead and specialist.

One of our team members answers all your initial questions and then schedules a first interview when both sides think a match is present.
During your first meeting at one of our offices you will meet two team members. During this meeting we will answer all your questions and look at what you bring (in terms of competencies, personality, wishes and experiences) and what you are looking for (in a new position or organization).
During your second meeting, you meet two other team members. They are also curious about the questions you still have. Furthermore together we look at your future (where are your goals, what does your dream assignment look like and how do you get there) and the match with our culture (in which environment you will do best).
In this next conversation, you’ll sit down with someone from HR to discuss your employment terms and personal profile. Another match? Then we’re off to the final round!
