Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of our lives. But curious as we are, we look for the question behind the question. As we work, are we looking for a tool that makes our work easier, or are we looking for a more efficient way of working? We are curious: can AI help us perform our tasks better, faster and with more precision, or is it a threat to our privacy and security?
What’s the risk?
Data breaches are becoming more common. Is AI a cause of this? Yes. Because AI systems analyze and process sensitive information, they are an attractive target for cyberattacks. In addition, they cannot be secured as well as organizations and often unintentionally contribute to a cyber attack. So how does this happen? One example is misadvising and misjudging the storage of sensitive data. “How can I prevent this in my organization?” is then probably the next question you ask yourself. Proper education on the use of AI is half the battle here. During a master class by Maarten van Dalen, our colleagues at asqin were taught the skills for handling and working with AI. Maarten is a software professional and has been involved in developments in this field for years. Because we as an organization are aware of how we work and deal with AI safely, we can take this to our customers and contribute to a safe, more efficient way of working within the organization.
Are we replaceable?
The question often asked is whether we as workers are replaceable by AI. Although this tool is capable of performing tasks faster and sometimes even more accurately than humans, many functions and jobs naturally require human skills that AI cannot currently fulfill. At asqin, we work with tremendous drive, which means we never have enough, always look beyond what is asked of us and want to keep challenging ourselves. So are we to be replaced by AI? Definitely not. Does AI complement us? The right question to asq.

For our consultants, AI offers both new opportunities and challenges. For example, AI can be used to quickly analyze data and generate insights; Business Intelligence Consultants are taking advantage of this. The new developments within technology offer opportunities for innovative improvements in various sectors, including consulting. By quickly generating available and specific strategic data through AI, our consultants’ knowledge, skills and experience are complemented, and they take a head start on the changing market.
